Argenta pleased to be showcasing at Business Growth Conference

Last year Chris Woodhams, Argenta’s Managing Director, attended the Business Growth Conference for the first time. The event, hosted by the Motorsport Industry Association, had fantastic speakers and great opportunities to network with delegates, not to mention ogling various F1 cars! It was based on this positive experience, and delegate feedback, that Argenta have this year decided to attend again and also exhibit.
This event last year gave us an insight into the motorsport industry and a reaffirmation of the fact there is an extensive amount of data acquired and available to analyse. This year’s conference presents a great opportunity for us to show case our capabilities in providing data management solutions. We’ll also get the opportunity to expand our knowledge of the industry to understand how the experience we have in delivering test solutions within the automotive industry might transfer to motorsport. Hopefully there’ll be more F1 cars to ogle too!
According to Racecar Engineering (2018) there are very few sports that have as much global appeal as motor sport. They continue by identifying that a new strategic era within Formula One is in the pipeline with 2021 being the year when the strategy all comes together so exciting times ahead for the sector.
The event is being held on Thursday 5th July at the iconic Sahara Formula One Team’s Silverstone Headquarters, this is the day before British Grand Prix weekend so a great opportunity to see the preparations getting underway!
The key themes of this year’s conference are ‘New Markets, Brexit, Changes in Formula One and Motorsport Audience of the Future’. These will be covered by a range of speakers as well as vehicle and technology displays highlighting the future of the sector. Speakers this year include Otmar Szafnauer, Chief Operating Officer - Sahara Force India Formula One Team, John Grant, Chairman of the BRDC and host of the British Grand Prix and Kevin Baughan, former Deputy Chief Executive of Innovate UK.
